It’s a bonkers Premiership, really. Seven teams separated by just two points from Hibernian in third to Dundee in ninth.
Dundee United are fourth but just a point clear of their seventh-placed visitors this afternoon.
Their recent record against St Mirren, with the exception of the last time they met here in Dundee, is very good with just one defeat in the past half-dozen encounters across all competitions.
I’m expecting goals today but either a draw or a one-goal margin of victory.
And Allan Preston, analysing for Open All Mics on Sportsound beside me, has just turned his wee heater round so that I get a blast of hot air.
