Texas volleyball vs Oklahoma: Live updates from Longhorns match against Sooners
Like the first set, Texas went out for an early lead, but Oklahoma found its way back with its defense, going on a 5-0 run to take over 10-8. But Texas found its rhythm on offense and traded leads with the Sooners. A 5-0 run closed the second set to give the Longhorns a 2-0 lead.
Texas found itself in a late 21-19 hole against Oklahoma who found its swing and open parts of the floor. But a kill from Cari Spears and service pressure gave Texas set one, 25-23.

A bit more than a week after Texas football played Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl, the Red River Rivalry comes to Gregory Gymnasium for the volleyball installment.
Texas (15-0, 7-0) swept Arkansas Friday night and has held onto the No. 2 spot in the AVCA rankings since the season began. With the efforts of outside hitter Torrey Stafford and a talented group of freshmen, the Longhorns are on a roll.
On the other side, the Sooners (12-5, 4-3) were swept by Texas A&M Friday. The Sooners are on the cusp of success, but slow starts plague any success, despite middle blocker Kelli Jo Burgess being No. 1 in the SEC with her .461 hitting percentage and 82 blocks.
