Backing the Chiefs when they have been heavy favourites has been costly in recent seasons and the last time they covered the handicap when favoured by ten points or more was more than two years ago.
Last week’s impressive win over the Lions has convinced oddsmakers that the Chiefs are back to their best and they get another boost this week as wide receiver Rashee Rice is eligible to return after a six-game suspension.
The Raiders picked up a welcome win over the Titans last week but this is a much tougher assignment against the AFC champions. The Las Vegas defence led the way against Tennessee while the Chiefs are also improving in that department, so going under on total points could prove the best bet on the game.
The Chiefs could be in for a let-down after last week’s big win and the Raiders’ last two visits to Arrowhead have produced games with just 34 and 36 points.
