He is unanimously accepted inside the boardroom, but there is a problem, and not a minor one: the set fee of €30m is a lot of money for Barça.
The club is in a difficult financial situation and would have difficulty matching such a sum. La Liga’s Financial Fair Play rules do not help.
Barca management will therefore seek to negotiate with their United counterparts to take on Rashford for a price lower than €30m.
