When does CFP bracket come out today? Selection show time, TV channel

The College Football Playoff committee will release 11 a.m. CT Sunday, Dec. 7, and the top teams in the country will learn their postseason fate. Despite a slower end to the season on the offensive side of the ball, head coach Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners (10-2) are almost guaranteed a spot in the tournament; it’s now a matter of seeding and who the Sooners will face.

OU ranked No. 8 in the latest bracket, released on Tuesday.

The final CFP rankings will be released on Sunday, Dec. 7, starting at 11 a.m. CT. You can watch or stream the College Football Playoff selection show on ESPN.

College Football Playoff bracket predictions for Oklahoma football

If the playoff began following the penultimate rankings, OU would host Alabama in a rematch in the first round. But with the Crimson Tide lost to Georgia in the SEC title game Saturday.

The most likely scenario is a matchup against Notre Dame in Norman.

  • First round: Dec. 19 and 20
  • Quarterfinals: Dec. 31 and Jan. 1
  • Semifinals: Jan. 8 and 9
  • National championship: Jan. 19
