NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — Reports of an active shooter at a hospital in Newport Beach are being investigated as possible swatting, authorities confirmed Tuesday.

Officers were clearing Hoag Hospital, according to the Newport Beach Police Department, which said there was no shooter.
