Another week, another great and brand new lineup for Saturday Night Live.
The live comedy show returned from its winter hiatus on January 17 with Host Finn Wolfhard and Musical Guest A$AP Rocky, and they gave us everything: celebrity guests, new Stranger Things spinoffs, a whole new way to look at Harry Potter, and a very catchy onstage rager.
Now, there’s two new episodes lined up to get us through the January dumps, with two enthusiastic debut Hosts, the first guest band of Season 51, and one grand return.

Who is the January 24 SNL Host?
Teyana Taylor. The acclaimed star of One Battle After Another is making her SNL debut just weeks after winning a Golden Globe for her performance, and two days after earning her first Academy Award nomination. She’s also nominated for a Grammy for her 2025 album Escape Room, so she is having quite the awards season.
The actress/singer/rapper/dancer/choreographer/mom launched her SNL week with a promo that calls back to one of Angela Bassett’s most famous roles as Bernie Harris in Waiting to Exhale. In the 1995 dramedy, she discovered her husband was leaving her and promptly burned all of his stuff.
In the SNL promo, when Taylor learns that Andrew Dismukes has eaten Ashley Padilla’s eggplant parm, she goes full Bassett on Dismukes’ dressing room and his “732 stupid bobbleheads.” Poor Dismukes may be left with a burning wagon load, but we’re left with a really good feeling about this week’s episode. Who is Saturday Night Live’s January 24 Musical Guest?
Geese. The indie rock band, fronted by Cameron Winter, hit it big in 2025 with their album Getting Killed. They even got a shoutout from SNL when James Austin Johnson showed off his impression of Winter in the December 20 sketch “Random Duet Christmas Spectacular.”
Fun fact: Geese got their name from the nickname of guitarist Emily Green, who is known as Goose.
