CBC launches Schitt’s Creek FAST channel

Hey, Schitt’s Creek fans: if you’ve ever wanted a one-stop shop to watch all of the Roses’ misadventures, you’re in luck.

CBC has launched a new free ad-supported TV (FAST) channel centred entirely around Schitt’s Creek. The “Schitt’s Creek Channel” features all six seasons of the acclaimed Canadian sitcom plus the one-hour finale special, Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell.

The new channel is now available now on CBC’s Gem streaming service, which is available for free with ads or for $5.99/month ad-free. Further, the Schitt’s Creek Channel will come to LG Channels and The Roku Channel later this year. This is CBC’s fourth FAST channel offering, following the launch of CBC Comedy and dedicated channels for Heartland and Murdoch Mysteries.

It should be noted that while CBC has had a long-running deal with Netflix Canada, only three seasons of Schitt’s Creek are currently on the service. Meanwhile, data shows that FAST channels have continued to grow in popularity, likely due in no small part because streamers keep hiking their prices. While ads aren’t ideal, they’re clearly becoming preferable to paying increasingly large monthly sums.
