George R.R. Martin Has Confirmed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Features The Worst Game of Thrones Villain

Considering A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes place roughly a century before Game of Thrones, some returning characters are expected to return in the spin-off, including Master Aemon. The return of the franchise’s most notorious villain, Walder Frey, is also expected.

Although the books George R.R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg novellas never explicitly state him, the author confirmed it’s indeed him. As for the adaptation, showrunner Ira Parker intends to adapt this onscreen, albeit it won’t transpire until we near the tail end of this adaptation (via Polygon).
