Grimes is showing off her new ink.

On Wednesday (October 22), the 37-year-old “Genesis” singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, took to Instagram to debut her massive and “innovative” new face tattoo.

The tattoo was done by cybersigilism tattoo artist known as Glyphomancer. Cybersigilism is a style of tattooing that fuses ancient symbolism with futuristic aesthetics.

“Spent like ten years emotionally working up to a face tattoo but I guess I drew on my face too much and literally no one noticed, not even my parents, not even after the video lol,” Grime wrote in the caption, while referencing her new “Artificial Angels” music video that came out last week in which she is first seen with the new face tattoo.

“That said I think @glyphomancer is onto something truly novel and innovative with her work esp on face tats- there’s a true beauty, delicacy, and innovation here [in my opinion],” she continued. “Feel like tats are in a crazy renaissance period that’s sort of under appreciated [at the moment].”
