PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — AccuWeather is tracking the threat of severe weather across the Philadelphia region on Monday.

Parts of the region are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 11 p.m. Other areas are under a severe thunderstorm watch. Click here to see a full list of weather alerts.

A Tornado Warning for Kent County, Delaware has expired.

A Tornado Watch for the Philadelphia region has expired, but the threat of damaging winds continues Monday evening.

AccuWeather Alert: Tracking severe weather tonight

Expect rounds of downpours as a squall line develops with a cold front before midnight.

Damaging wind gusts are possible. Localized flash flooding could also occur with plenty of moisture in play.

Temperatures quickly tumble overnight as cold air takes over.

A wind advisory is posted for the entire region until 2 a.m. Tuesday.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia until 12 a.m.

Tornado Watch canceled for Philadelphia region

The Tornado Watch that was in effect for the Philadelphia region has been canceled.

“Please continue to stay weather aware, especially for the potential for damaging winds later tonight with the passage of the cold front,” said the National Weather Service in a statement.

Downpours with rumbles of thunder continue to move through the region.

Nothing severe at this time and the severe threat for the early evening has diminished.

We are still concerned with strong winds accompanying the cold front between 9pm and midnight.
