Alabama man dead after vehicle crashes into utility pole, tree

A single-vehicle crash early on Sunday killed a driver not wearing a seat belt.
Fredrick Kennedy Jr., 25, from Coy, was driving a 2020 Hyundai Kona around 1 a.m. Sunday when the car left the road and struck a utility pole and then a tree, Sgt. Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said in a statement.
Kennedy was pronounced dead at the crash scene on Alabama 41 near Camden, in Wilcox County, King added.
The crash is still under investigation.
