Whitney Leavitt to join ‘Chicago’ Broadway cast

The name on everybody’s lips is gonna be Whitney! Whitney Leavitt will make her Broadway debut in Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre, playing Roxie Hart from February 2 to March 15.
Since rising to fame on TikTok, Leavitt has become more widely known as a cast member on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and a contestant on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, on which she performed an acclaimed routine to Chicago‘s “Cell Block Tango” that first had fans online speculating about her Broadway future.
The current cast of Chicago features Kate Baldwin as Roxie Hart, Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, Alex Newell as Matron “Mama” Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
Chicago follows housewife Roxie and vaudeville star Velma, two murderesses who compete for the attention of a slick lawyer and the sympathy of the public in order to get acquitted — and get famous.
