The Portland Trail Blazers won a resounding 123-107 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night but Portland star Deni Avdija had to leave the game after just 18 minutes of play due to back pain. The good news is that Avdija scored 20 points in those 18 minutes. The better news is that, at this point, he’s expected to play tomorrow versus the Toronto Raptors.

Avdija is averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in 35 minutes per game for the Blazers this season. He’s appeared in 41 out of Portland’s 44 games but did not dress for 3 of their 4 games prior to tonight.
