Aggies Wrap Up First Weekend Of Indoor Season With Multiple Top Ten Finishes

RENO, Nev. — UC Davis wrapped up the final day of the Silver State Invitational with strong efforts across both field and track events, highlighted by four top-10 finishes and several solid marks to close out the opening weekend of the indoor season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field, Maya Ifo-Desai and Chinyere Egbuziem kicked things off with the shot put. Ifo-Desai soared to a top ten finish with an 11.65-meter throw, and Egbuziem was close behind in 13th at 11.16 meters.
- Aiza Sarwar also found herself top ten with a triple jump of 11.22 meters, good for seventh in the competition.
- Heading to the track, the Aggies showed out in the 600-meter, with three ending up in the top 15th. Dominika Janik paced her team in eighth with a time of 1:37.92. Miriam Aquiree was just behind in ninth and a 1:38.79, and Haley Large rounded out the group in 13th with a 1:46.95.
