NorKam Secondary on Lockdown

Multiple reports say the school is now under a Hold & Secure.
ORIGINAL:
NorKam Secondary School is currently under lockdown after police responded to an active incident involving a possible weapon on campus.
Around 2:00pm multiple police cruisers were seen rushing towards the scene.
Witnesses report more than two dozen police vehicles arriving shortly after lockdown alarms sounded, with officers carrying long guns entering the building while students and staff remained secured in classrooms.
Kamloops RCMP confirms they are actively investigating a threat and are asking the public to avoid the area.
Shortley after 3:00 some reports indicated an RCMP loudspeaker is blaring “Lockdown is in effect” on a loop outside the school.
Officials say, “This is an ongoing police situation. Please stay clear of the school and follow law enforcement instructions. Do not share unverified information online.”
No injuries have been reported, and police have not yet confirmed if a suspect has been located.
Parents are being asked not to go to the school, and updates will be provided through official channels when it is safe to do so.
The lockdown remains in effect as officers continue to search and secure the building.

As of 3:06pm Chris Rose right next door has also been locked down. No threats inside that place.
