In a recent decision, Tarik Sektioui, coach of Morocco’s B team, has called up Mounir Chouiar, a player from Renaissance de Berkane, to join the squad for the Arab Cup in Qatar, scheduled from December 1 to 18.

After Pyramids’ refusal, Mounir Chouiar called up by Morocco B
The attacking midfielder from RS Berkane has played 22 matches this season across all competitions, netting 5 goals and providing 3 assists.
This call-up comes after Walid Karti, a player for Pyramids FC, was unable to participate in the competition since his club refused to release him due to commitments in domestic and continental tournaments.
In this context, Krunoslav Jurcetic, the Croatian coach of Pyramids, reiterated the club’s stance: “Pyramids only recognizes the international calendar and the national A team. Our players deserve to compete in major tournaments, and we are committed to that.”

To recap, the draw placed Morocco in Group B alongside Comoros, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
