Eric Trump’s Big ‘Trump International Airport’ Reveal Immediately Backfires

Eric Trump drew instant backlash on Tuesday after sharing the new logo for the recently renamed Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida.
Writing on Elon Musk’s X, the second son of President Donald Trump said he was “extremely proud” to unveil the branding for the airport formerly known as Palm Beach International Airport.
The renaming itself has already sparked controversy, largely because of its ties to a trademark deal with a Trump family company.
“There is no person more deserving of this incredible honor than @realDonaldTrump! Congratulations Dad!” Eric Trump wrote. “Looking forward to seeing flights landing at “DJT” very very soon!”
The press team for California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidate, quickly seized on the post.
“Gas prices are up over 50% since your dad started a reckless war in Iran,” the team wrote.
Then it sarcastically added: “But congrats on the airport logo. Huge accomplishment!”
Other critics also mocked the airport’s new branding by reworking the logo to reference late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a former associate of the president.
