Nuggets Injury Update: Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon Likely to Play Against Wizards

The Denver Nuggets are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Washington Wizards in an interconference matchup.

Denver enters Thursday’s game with a 29-15 record after losing at home to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

In Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers, Jamal Murray led the way for the Nuggets as he recorded 28 points and 11 assists while Aaron Gordon added 18 points, four rebounds and five assists of his own.

Now Denver will try to bounce back on the road on Thursday as they face off against a struggling Wizards team.

On the other side, Washington enters Thursday’s contest with a 10-32 record after losing at home to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.

Alex Sarr led the way for the Wizards in Monday’s loss as he ended the game with 28 points and six rebounds while Kyshawn George recorded 18 points, six rebounds and six assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Nuggets Injury Report, Will Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon Play?

For the Nuggets, they have seven players listed on their injury report, including both Murray and Gordon.

Denver has listed Murray as probable due to left hip inflammation and he is expected to play on Thursday.

The Nuggets have also listed Gordon as probable with a right hamstring strain while Tim Hardaway Jr. is probable due to a right knee contusion and both are expected to play against the Wizards.

Jonas Valanciunas has been upgraded to questionable due to a right calf strain that has kept him sidelined since January 2 and there is a chance he could return on Thursday.

Nikola Jokic, Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson have all been ruled out as they remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.

Wizards Injury Report, Will Khris Middleton, Bilal Coulibaly Play?

On the other side, the Wizards have seven players listed on their injury report, including both Khris Middleton and Bilal Coulibaly.

Washington has listed Middleton as questionable due to an illness and he is in danger of missing his first game since January 16.

The Wizards have also listed Coulibaly as questionable due to a lower back strain and he is in danger of missing his fourth consecutive contest.

Marvin Bagley III has also been listed as questionable due to an illness while AJ Johnson is also questionable with an illness.

Trae Young, Tristan Vukcevic and Cam Whitmore have been ruled out as they remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.
