A 32-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead after being hit by a vehicle in Winnipeg’s East Kildonan area early Sunday.
Emergency crews were called around 5:20 a.m. to the intersection of Henderson Highway and Neil Avenue.
The man was crossing Henderson when a northbound vehicle hit him, police said in a news release.
The driver immediately called 911, remained at the crash scene and spoke with officers.
The investigation continues and no charges have been laid.
