Cameron Green IPL Salary: Here’s How Much KKR All-Rounder’s Contract is Worth

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green made history during the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi, becoming the most expensive overseas player in the league’s history. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured the 26-year-old’s services with a staggering bid of INR 25.20 crore, surpassing the previous record held by his compatriot Mitchell Starc. However, due to revised league regulations, the actual salary received by the player differs significantly from the headline auction price. You can follow the Gujarat Titans vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Scorecard.
Cameron Green IPL Salary
While KKR’s winning bid reached INR 25.20 crore, Green will not receive the full amount as a personal salary. Under the BCCI’s new ‘maximum-fee’ rule for mini-auctions, an overseas player’s earnings are capped at the lower value of either the highest retention slab (INR 18 crore) or the highest price fetched at the previous mega auction.
Consequently, Green’s official contract value for the 2026 season is fixed at INR 18 crore (approximately £1.75 million). The surplus of INR 7.20 crore from the auction bid is diverted to the BCCI’s Player Welfare Fund, ensuring that individual player salaries do not exceed established benchmarks despite competitive bidding wars.
BCCI Match Fees and Seasonal Bonuses
Under the BCCI’s 2025–2027 pay structure, Brevis’s earnings extend well beyond his base contract. A historic move by the board ensures that every member of the playing XI (including the Impact Player) receives a fixed match fee.
