Yesterday saw temperatures rise to as high as 23C in some parts of the country, and today is just as good with clear skies and warm weather.

Typically, it decided to come just after the bank holiday, but we take what we can get, and millions of people across the country, and in Birmingham, are enjoying the sun this week.

Sadly, it will come to an end, and that will only be in a matter of days.

The Met Office’s forecast for next week doesn’t look nearly as welcoming, but the sun will remain shining for a few more days at least.

Their forecast for tonight reads: “Staying mostly clear and dry with some lower cloud moving into the west later.

“Mist and fog developing in prone spots. Staying mild overnight. Minimum temperature 10 °C.”

As for tomorrow: “A warm start to the day, but cloud and rain moves into the west through the morning.

“Clears eastwards into the afternoon, leaving cooler and showery weather across the region. Maximum temperature 16 °C.”

Moving into the weekend, they add: “Remaining unsettled on Friday and Saturday with further rain at times, mainly on Saturday.

“Turning more showery again on Sunday. Temperatures nearer to average.”

On Monday (April 13), consistent rain will wash over the city, with temperatures remaining low at 4C.
