Meet the Full Cast of The Whoopi Monologues Off-Broadway

Lincoln Center Theater has found full casting for its upcoming The Whoopi Monologues, which will see actors re-creating Whoopi Goldberg’s 1984 Broadway debut solo show Whoopi Goldberg, for which she won Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Awards in 1985.
Joining previously announced stars Kerry Washington and Kara Young will be Tony winner Kecia Lewis, Dominique Fishback, and Danielle Pinnock. Casting is by The Telsey Office.
Whitney White (Liberation) is directing the work, due to begin July 7 in the company’s Off-Broadway Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night will be July 13.
Goldberg’s performance of the work was filmed for broadcast on HBO, a recording that also earned Goldberg a Grammy. She revived the work on Broadway as Whoopi in 2004, getting a 2005 Tony nomination in the short-lived Best Special Theatrical Event category.
The production will feature scenic design by Studio Bent’s Adam Rigg and Anton Volovsek, costume design by Qween Jean, lighting design by Cha See, sound design by Fan Zhang, video design by Hana S. Kim, and hair and wig design by Nikiya Mathis. Tiffany N. Robinson will serve as stage manager.
