Texas A&M basketball vs Texas: Live updates, TV/streaming info, betting lines for Lone Star Showdown

Saturday, when Texas A&M men’s basketball hosts rival Texas, one could argue that the stakes could not be higher.

With three games left, the Aggies (19-9, 9-6 SEC) need to finish strong or be on the outside looking in for the NCAA Tournament.

Fresh off a disheartening road loss to No. 20 Arkansas, they return to College Station to face a Longhorns team (17-11, 8-7) that may match their desperation.

A&M got the best of Texas the first time around in Austin, but as the regular season winds down, the Aggies haven’t looked much like the team that found a way to win in the state capital for the first time in 24 years.

The Maroon and White have looked tired at times, finding themselves struggling against teams with length and the ability to break their full-court press.

For the Longhorns, what a difference a week makes.

Starting Jan. 31, Texas ripped off five consecutive wins, putting it back in the Tournament conversation. However, it has lost its last two games, and with three games remaining, it appears to be running out of time to boost its resume.
