Natalie Portman is pregnant with her third child. It’s her first with partner Tanguy Destable, a French musician and producer who works under the name Tepr. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” Portman exclusively told Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.” Portman says this third pregnancy feels like the past two. She has two children with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied: Aleph, 14, and Amalia, 9. “I have more energy than I thought I might,” she said.
Portman has two projects about to hit their promotion cycle: art-com The Gallerist and Lena Dunham’s Good Sex for Netflix. The actor, 44, credits her fertility-doctor father for giving her a sense of perspective and gratitude for her pregnancies. “I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she said. “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing.” But this time she gets to be pregnant French style. “In France, they consider full-term to be 41 weeks rather than 40, so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around,” she says.
