Buckeye confirms Festival Ranch Marketplace anchored by Safeway

Buckeye officials have confirmed plans for Festival Ranch Marketplace, a 114,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by Safeway that will bring the first major grocery store and additional retail services to the city’s growing Festival Ranch community.
The city announced June 28 that Arizona-based Pederson Group will develop the $45 million project at the northeast corner of Sun Valley Parkway and Canyon Springs Boulevard. The shopping center is expected to open late 2027.
“For years, one of the most common questions we’ve heard from Festival Ranch residents has been ‘When are we getting a grocery store?’ Today, we’re excited to finally share that answer,” Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn said in a statement. “The arrival of Safeway is a major milestone for this community, bringing convenient access to groceries while also attracting the services and amenities that help create a complete community and improve the quality of life for the residents who call this area home.”
