People across the U.S. are celebrating Juneteenth. June 19th marks the day enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. While it’s a celebration, it’s also a time to consider what needs to be done to protect the progress made since then. CNN’s Lynda Kinkade reports.
