A total of three lucky streets in Greater Manchester have bagged big prizes in the People’s Postcode Lottery this weekend. Prize winning postcodes from March’s draws are announced daily from March 7 to April 3.
To take part in the Postcode Lottery daily draws, players must sign up their postcode and pay £12.25 a month as a fee. The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised more than £1billion for charities across the UK since the organisation was founded in 2005, as 33 per cent of every ticket purchased goes to charity.
It comes after an NHS worker and her husband scooped almost £154,000 between them on Valentine’s Day. Lisa Waller, from Rotherham, said she had to persuade her husband to sign up for the Postcode Lottery after a previous big win.

The winner of this weekend’s £200,000 prize is a married couple from Gosport. Sharon Healy landed £400,000 alongside partner Chris Smith when PO12 1GB won the People’s Postcode Lottery Millionaire Street prize.
Every ticket was worth £200,000, but Sharon doubled her windfall by playing with two. Sharon started crying and shaking after being presented with her first cheque – then her emotions overtook her when lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson surprised her by whipping out a second one.
The couple are already booked to go on a family holiday to Turkey later in the year. Sharon said the win will allow her to treat her loved ones – especially her granddaughter, after her daughter gave birth just a fortnight ago.
She said: “I really don’t know what I’m going to do… I’m absolutely shell-shocked. You don’t ever think it will be you, but I’m so glad it is.
“I’ve got a two-week-old granddaughter. I’m going to Wales where my daughter lives with her partner on Monday and I’m sure she’ll be getting spoiled.”
Sharon shared the £1 Million Millionaire Street prize with two neighbours when their street was revealed as a winner.
Another player also doubled their winnings by playing with two tickets, while a third neighbour won a share of the prize with a single ticket.
All the neighbours were delighted to hear their street’s win means local charities have also benefitted.
