Charge against ‘Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ husband dropped

(WJAR) — The criminal case against the husband of a “Real Housewives of Rhode Island” cast member has been dropped.
Rhode Island State Police accused Brian Pontarelli in early October of placing a tracking device in his wife’s car.
NBC 10 News reported at the time that a police report stated Rulla Pontarelli went to a state police barracks believing her husband was tracking her and investigators found a device in her car.
Rulla Pontarelli is a cast member on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” which is set to air sometime in 2026.
NBC 10 News reported that the show finished filming before the allegations in October.
Brian Pontarelli is a podiatrist in North Providence, with a medical spa attached to the practice.
He was charged with a misdemeanor under Rhode Island’s domestic violence laws.
Court records show prosecutors dismissed the case Monday, when a pretrial conference was scheduled.
“Dr. Pontarelli is relieved that the case against him was dismissed and is behind him,” his lawyer William Murphy told NBC 10 News.
A no-contact order initially filed by Rulla Pontarelli was terminated weeks ago.

“Things are going well for the both of them and this was an unfortunate incident,” Murphy said.
