Campus cleared after threat reported at Crest High School

SHELBY, N.C. (WBTV) – Deputies found no evidence of a shooting at Crest High School, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Monday.
Crest High School went on lockdown by 8:10 a.m. Monday morning, March 16, for reports of an active shooter.

Within an hour, deputies said the school’s campus was cleared. No injuries were reported or threats confirmed.
As of this article’s writing, deputies were investigating the source of the original phone call stating the threat.
