Here’s Your First Earth-Shaking Look at Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2

Can you feel that rumble under your feet? That’s the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender hurtling your way in 2026 — and we have your first preview.

In the first-look photos and teaser trailer — an audio descriptive version is available here — the Gaang has noticeably grown up since Season 1 debuted on Netflix in 2024. In Season 2, after a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

Season 2 will also deliver something fans of the original Nickelodeon animated series have been waiting for all along: the introduction of Toph Beifong, played in the live-action reimagining by Miya Cech. In the Avatar: The Last Airbender canon, Toph, a blind Earthbending prodigy who joins the Gaang, is a fan favorite — and for good reason. She’s often underestimated due to her blindness and small stature, but as the teaser shows, her unique fighting style and seismic strength are not to be trifled with. We can’t reveal much more about the plot of Season 2 just yet, but trust the tremors — the next chapter will bend new ground.

Watch Season 1 of Avatar: The Last Airbender now, only on Netflix.
