Bayern Munich had a brutal start to the new-look Women’s Champions League, losing 7-1 away to Barcelona on matchday one.
There is no shame in being outclassed by brilliant Barca, who thrashed WSL champions Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate in last season’s semi-finals, and Bayern should bounce back at home to Juventus.
The German champions look a good bet to cover a one-goal handicap against Juve, who had to come from 1-0 down to beat unfancied visitors Benfica in their opening game.
Their last two Serie A results were a 0-0 draw at Sassuolo and a 1-0 home defeat to Como and that lack of attacking firepower leaves them vulnerable in Munich.
Bayern have won seven of their first eight domestic fixtures by at least two goals including Saturday’s 3-1 away win over their main title challengers Wolfsburg.
