Harry Potter star ‘mooned’ Warren Beatty over his treatment of Diane Keaton

Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes previously shared a hilarious anecdote about how she once “mooned” Hollywood heavyweight Warren Beatty due to his treatment of fellow actress Diane Keaton. The Father of the Bride actress has died aged 79.
The Harry Potter star, known for her role as Professor Sprout, spent time in Los Angeles during the 1980s, auditioning for a minor role in a film directed and written by Beatty, despite most of the movie being shot in the UK.
Recounting her unusual first interaction with Beatty, Margolyes revealed that during their professional relationship, she had once “mooned” him, an act she attributes to his treatment of The First Wives Club star Diane Keaton.
She recalled: “I mooned at him once and the expression of shocked surprise frozen on his face still tickles me even now, but he completely deserved it.
“Mooning is a powerful tool; a bottom is not threatening; it’s rude, amusing but unmistakable.”
Margolyes claimed: “Diane had refused his marriage proposal and he took it out on her.
“She was completely delightful, totally without grandeur. One of my top ‘faves’,” she shared. (sic).
Miriam’s tale of “mooning” the Hollywood actor comes after she detailed how he made advances towards her, asking during their first encounter, “do you f—?”.
Upon entering his trailer to audition for a secretary role in his movie Reds, Miriam disclosed that he promptly asked the inappropriate question.
The star recounted how she swiftly shut him down, after revealing her lesbian identity, as reported by the Daily Mail.
After remembering how the star indecently asked if he could “watch”, Miriam told him, “Pull yourself together and get on with the interview.”
