Final Rockets-Spurs Injury Report: Will Harrison Barnes, Jabari Smith Jr. Play?

The San Antonio Spurs are at home on Sunday night as they host the Houston Rockets in a Western Conference showdown.
San Antonio enters Sunday’s game with a 46-17 record after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers at home on Friday night after rallying from being down 25 points.

In Friday’s victory over the Clippers, Victor Wembanyama led the way for the Spurs as he recorded 27 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks while Julian Champagnie added 20 points and nine rebounds of his own.
Now San Antonio will try to grab another victory on Sunday as they face off against the Rockets in a tough home matchup.
On the other side, Houston enters Sunday’s contest with a 39-23 record after defeating the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Friday night.

Amen Thompson led the way for the Rockets in Friday’s victory as he ended the game with 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Alperen Sengun recorded 28 points and six rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Rockets Injury Report: Will Jabari Smith Jr. Play?
For the Rockets, they have three players listed on their injury report, though Jabari Smith Jr. is not one of them.

Of course, Smith Jr. missed Friday’s victory due to a right ankle sprain but he is off the injury report and will return on Sunday.
Houston has ruled out Jae’Sean Tate as he remains sidelined while recovering from a right MCL sprain.

The Rockets have also ruled out Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams as they both continue to recover from injuries.

On the other side, the Spurs have two players listed on their injury report for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.

San Antonio has ruled out Harrison Barnes due to a left ankle impingement as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest.
With Barnes still sidelined, Keldon Johnson, Champagnie and Carter Bryant will likely all continue to have increased roles.

The Spurs have also ruled out Mason Plumlee due to return to competition reconditioning as he has yet to make his team debut.
