CSIS JOBS IN METRO VANCOUVER
REGIONAL PROTECTIVE SERVICES OFFICER
A regional protective services officer is responsible for monitoring the safety and security of government facilities, as well as the people within it.
The requirements for this position include:
- A High school diploma
- Four years of experience
- OR a combination of a college diploma and experience, totalling four years of schooling and experience together
Applicants must have experience in a protective service and security-related role in protecting assets, operations, and employees from various security threats. Additionally, they must have knowledge in managing “various competents of a security guard post, including access management and camera controls.”
This is an entry-level position located in Burnaby, B.C. with a salary ranging from $68,552 to $83,389. The closing date is December 31, 2025.
REGIONAL TECHNICAL OFFICER
A regional technical officer provides a variety of technical support and expertise through collaboration. CSIS notes that this position consists of three different streams: operational communications, technical collection, and operations.
The requirements for this position include:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, network security, cyber security, mathematics, physics, or a related field, and three years experience
- OR a technologist diploma or a professional technologist equivalency designation and four years experience
Applicants should have experience in at least three items in the listed requirements:
- “Designing, developing, evaluating or testing technological tools and associated procedures in order to support the implementation of technical capabilities.
- Providing advice and recommendations on complex technology issues with respect to the design, deployment or maintenance of technical solutions.
- Providing training and operational support to clients and colleagues to leverage maintain and improve technical capabilities.
- Participating in cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders outside your work unit.
- Performing technical problem solving activities for software or systems.
- Carrying out data analysis or collection activities using technical tools and tradecraft.
- Implementing, operating, configuring or troubleshooting a networking infrastructure (i.e. switches, applications, routers, VPN, desktop computing devices and servers).”
This is an experienced position located in Burnaby, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, and Gatineau. The salary ranges from $99,392 to $120,917. The closing date is October 10, 2025.
SURVEILLANCE OFFICER
A surveillance officer is tasked with monitoring security, assuring that individuals and property are kept safe.
The requirements for this position include:
- A university degree or college diploma and two years of experience
- OR a high school diploma and four years of experience
Applicants should have experience in working in a team environment, as well as driving motor vehicles in various driving conditions. They must also have a valid and permanent Canadian driver’s license.
This is an entry-level position located in Burnaby, B.C. and Toronto, Ontario. The salary ranges from $77,427 to $94,177 with an additional allowance of 12%. The opening closes on December 1, 2025.
