Ireland: TG4 Marks 10 Years in Junior Eurovision

The Irish broadcaster TG4 is set to mark 10 years of participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
TG4 will be marking 10 years of the broadcaster’s participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest next week. TG4 brought Ireland into the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2015 and has participated annually, excluding 2020 due to COVID-19.
Junior Eurovision: An 10ú Réalt will be broadcast on December 7 at 20:30 CET and will feature interviews with the singers who have represented Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as well as Lottie O’Driscoll Murray’s preparations for this years contest.
Lottie O’Driscoll Murray will represent Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song “Rúin” (Secrets). The song was written and composed by Ian James White, Nicky Brennan and Jenny Ní Ruiséil.

Ireland debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the 2015 contest in Sofia. The nation’s participation is organised by the Irish-language broadcaster TG4. At the 2015 contest in Bulgaria, Aimee Banks represented Ireland with the song “Réalta na mara”. She finished 12th in the final. The country’s best result came at the 2022 contest in Yerevan. Sophie Lennon represented Ireland with the song “Solas”. She finished 4th in the final, scoring a total of 150 points.
