EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Sunny and pleasant weather Saturday will give way to a couple of rounds of storms on Sunday afternoon and evening.
We are on alert for severe storms with damaging winds, tornadoes and flooding from Sunday afternoon through early Monday.
The Storm Prediction Center has the entire Tri-State in a level 2 of 5 risk for severe weather on Sunday. A line of strong to severe storm will drop in from the northwest on Sunday and collide with very moist, warm air over the region.
In addition to the severe weather threat, very heavy rainfall is possible, so flooding will be a concern. Additional storms may rekindle on Monday across Western Kentucky before the system moves out.
