The band has a connection to Norwich – the cover of their 2011 album Computers and Blues features the Grade II-listed ziggurat building at the University of East Anglia.
The announcement comes as part of The Streets’ 2026 UK tour, with major headline shows across Margate, Bristol, Manchester, London, Ludlow, Leeds and Essex.
Skinner promised a performance that “pushed things forward for festival storytelling”.
Festival Director Ali O’Reilly said fans made it “absolutely clear” they wanted the circus back.
“Announcing The Streets as our first headliner for 2026 is really exciting,” she said.
“To see A Grand Don’t Come For Free performed in full under the big top will be very special.
Presale tickets go live on 14 October at 10:00 BST, with general sale opening 17 October.
