Amber Davies has been flooded with messages from her boyfriend, family and friends as she celebrated more than her second week on Strictly Come Dancing.
The actress and West End star wasn’t originally taking part in the BBC One dance contest this year, but was drafted in at the eleventh hour to replace an injured Dani Dyer.
Following the airing of the pre-recorded launch show last month, Dani revealed she had ‘fallen funny” and has fractured her ankle while rehearsing alongside her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.
The injury meant that she could no longer compete in the 23rd series of the dance show, and fellow former Love Island winner Amber was brought in to replace her with just 24 hours’ notice.
Following the announcement, Amber’s partner Ben Joyce shared his thoughts on her participation in this year’s celebrity lineup. The West End performer, who began dating Amber in 2022, shared a picture of the programme’s glitterball trophy on Instagram and said: “Does she ever stop?!! No she doesn’t!!”
Now, Ben has shared a new message online for Amber as she celebrates her 29th birthday on Saturday (October 4), which comes as she returns to the ballroom for her and Nikita’s second live performance of Strictly 2025.

Ben, who has starred in Jersey Boys and Back to the Future the Musical, shared a picture of the pair from a sun-soaked break and wrote: “Happy birthday to my girl. See you in the ballroom tonight. What a way to spend your day!”
Amber’s sister, Jade, who is also a West End performer, shared an adorable childhood snap of the pair and gushed: “Happy birthday to my baby sis. Feel very lucky I get to spend the day celebrating with you, not just at home, but in the ballroom.
“There aren’t enough words to describe how proud and in awe I am of you. I love you so much! Bring on tonight.”
Meanwhile, Amber shared her own video on social media in which she could be seen embracing Nikita as he arrived at Elstree Studios and greeted her bearing flowers and a ‘Happy Birthday’ balloon.
After hugging, Amber could be seen smiling and almost jumping with joy. A message across the video, which had been set to a cover of What Dreams Are Made Of from the 2003 Lizzie McGuire Movie, read: “Little me would never believe I’m celebrating my last birthday in my twenties on the Strictly ballroom dance floor.”
She also captioned the post to her followers: “Golden star for the most fab pro partner ever @nikita__kuzmin!!! He remembered guys [crying amoji]. Best birthday EVER !!!! @bbcstrictly (he did infact say happy 40th birthday whilst handing me this gift..) Thank you so much for all the birthday love, time to celebrate with a SAMBAAAAA.”
