Victor Wembanyama Relishing Playing Bully Ball

Victor Wembanyama appears to be stronger and playing with more force during the preseason and to start the regular season. Wembanyama had 40 points in the San Antonio Spurs’ regular season opening win over the Dallas Mavericks.
“He’s relishing playing bully ball,” said one team source to ESPN.
Wembanyama averaged 8.8 three-point attempts per game last season, which was almost half of his total shot attempts. Wembanyama attempted just 40 percent of his shots in the paint, but that number increased to 75 percent in the preseason. In the game against the Mavericks, Wembanyama attempted just two three-pointers, which is the fewest he’s shot since his rookie season. Wembanyama also attempted 11 free throws against the Mavericks.
“He’s clearly gotten bigger, stronger, more aggressive, playing with more force,” a Western Conference scout said. “And he’s going to take over the whole f—ing league if he stays healthy.”
