Ant Anstead was recently involved in a freak accident—and after Renée Zellweger‘s boyfriend shared a photo of his injuries, prayers poured in.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the Wheeler Dealers and Celebrity IOU Joyride host, 46, took to Instagram with a head-turning health update.

“October can officially go away! ” he declared. “Three close and beloved friends received terrible diagnos[es]! It kick started me to look closer at my health, and I went down many rabbit holes…. Diet, peptides, body scans, vitamins etc etc.”
Anstead also revealed, “Then WHAMMO!! A freak footy accident and I detached my pectoral muscle and tore my rotator cuff and labrum!”
To conclude his post, Christina Haack‘s ex shared that he underwent surgery and he is now resting.
“I’m taking it as a sign!” he wrote. “And I am going back down the health rabbit hole as I’m in the age group where I need to take this stuff more seriously! And be healthier and kinder to my body. Any and all advice greatly appreciated… x 🙏🏻.”
In the comments, Anstead’s followers flooded him with prayers, well-wishes and words of wisdom after his accident. One Instagram user wrote, “Rest 🙏🏼 and listen to your Drs! Don’t push yourself too early – give yourself time to completely heal! 🙏🏼.”
Another fan shared, “All ready for November then!! Get well soon! 🙏🏼.”
Someone else wrote, “Prayers for a speedy recovery.”
A different follower shared, “Sending our love and healing to you ❤️,” as someone else echoed, “Get better soon bubs ❤️🩹 sending lots of healing love x.”
Meanwhile, yet another fan shared advice with Anstead, writing, “So sorry 😢wishing you a speedy and full recovery 🙏advice🤔stay positive! It makes the world of difference 😉🥰.”
Anstead was married to Haack from 2018 to 2021; they share a son, Hudson. He also shares two kids, Amelie and Archie, with his first ex-wife, Louise Anstead. Zellweger and Anstead have been dating since 2021.
