KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Union Station’s newest exhibit takes visitors on an immersive voyage into the world of the Titanic.
The exhibit features more than 200 treasures from the Titanic itself. Visitors can explore recreated rooms, including the grand staircase and experience what it was like to be a passenger on the vessel.

Among the historic pieces on display is a real piece of sheet music from the leader of the ship’s band that was found after his body was recovered.
Other notable artifacts include the Wallace Hartley Funeral Memorial Book and coffin flower, a birth rivet left behind on the slipway following Titanic’s launch on May 31, 1911, and recovered by workers as souvenirs.

The exhibit also features a Titanic launch ticket sold by Harland & Wolff to people wanting to attend the launch, and tiles from the ship’s Turkish baths that were ultimately rejected in the final product.
“I hope people get a sense of what a really magnificent ship this was and how many different stories we have of different people,” said Orlando Saverino-Loeb, international collections manager for Titanic Immersive Voyage.
The exhibit is still receiving finishing touches and opens on November 8. Learn more here.
