Germie Bernard is a senior wide receiver prospect who began his career at the University of Washington before transferring to the University of Alabama for the 2024 season. Bernard was one of several players who followed Coach Kalen DeBoer in his transition from Washington to Alabama. With his experience and leadership, Bernard immediately became one of the Crimson Tide’s most reliable receiving targets. The 2025 season was the year Bernard solidified himself as Alabama’s number-one receiver and a dependable target in high-intensity moments. He wins as a receiver through his savviness as a route runner, football intelligence, and ability to adjust to the football and make difficult catches in traffic.
Pre-snap, Bernard has the versatility to line up at every wide receiver alignment and even in the backfield, allowing coordinators to create advantageous matchups, whether that’s lining him up in the slot to run fade routes or in the backfield to take handoffs, run swing passes, or draw coverage mismatches against linebackers.
As a route runner from traditional receiver alignments, Bernard shows the ability to vary his tempos and use subtle movements to throw off defensive backs in coverage. Against zone defenses, Bernard does an excellent job of accelerating into open spaces and throttling down to make himself available for the quarterback. He also displays strong concentration and reliable hands when catching the football in traffic.
