Ty Simpson reveals what he is taking from watching Jalen Milroe against LSU

Ty Simpson watched Alabama football’s last two games against LSU from the sideline, and he was able to watch Jalen Milroe put up dominant performances against the Tigers.
Milroe had 219 passing yards, 155 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns against LSU in 2023 in a 42-28 Alabama win. He one-upped his performance the following year by running for four rushing touchdown and 185 rushing yards to go along 109 passing yards in a dominant 42-13 Alabama win over LSU.
Milroe put his biggest strength on display during his performances against the Tigers which was his speed. Simpson feels it is important he leans on his biggest strengths after recently taking a look back at those Milroe performances.
“I thought Jalen, watching him over the last two years, did a great job of just being himself, running around making plays and just making it easy and simple,” Simpson told reporters on Tuesday. “That was something that he was so good at, just making it simple and making sure that he wasn’t ever out of his element and in times where he needed the shine, he did. We’re just watching those two games and studying those. Like he just did what he was good at and made sure that he didn’t make it bigger than what it is in those big time games. And so that’s what I need to do. Just make it simple, do the little things right and just play my game.”
Simpson will have an opportunity to make plays against the Tigers on Saturday night,
