M6 crash in Cheshire closed in both directions after crash

A crash involving a car and a pedestrian has closed the M6 in both directions.

The incident happened near junction 19 for Tabley and Knutsford just before 09:00 GMT, National Highways has said.

Cheshire Police has launched an investigation, the agency added.

Highways officers warned there could be delays lasting several hours.
