‘Memory Of A Killer’ Changes Showrunners; Aaron Zelman & Glenn Kessler To Lead Fox Series Starring Patrick Dempsey

Exclusive: There is a change at the helm of Fox’s Memory of a Killer. Aaron Zelman and Glenn Kessler have been named new co-showrunners of the upcoming thriller drama starring Patrick Dempsey, which received a straight-to-series order in May.

They replace in the role the project’s developers, British writers Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, and New Amsterdam creator David Schulner, who have stepped down as co-showrunners.

Memory of a Killer, inspired by the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, is filming Episode 6 of its 10-episode order. The series, which paused filming to catch up on scripts prior to the showrunner switch, remains on track for a January premiere, sources said.

There has been no production stop related to the showrunner transition, which I hear occurred in the past couple of weeks, though additional scenes for the completed episodes are being written and will be shot soon.
