Blackpink’s Lisa headlines Fortnite Festival Season 12

Is Lisa from Blackpink is coming to Fortnite, can we have her White Lotus character as a skin?

After a mashup season dubbed “Mixtape” that featured music from artists such as Doja Cat, Elton John, Joan Jett, and Motionless in White, Fortnite is now returning to its core strengths with Festival mode. It’s putting the spotlight on a famous artist to build the Festival Pass around. Season 12 launches on Nov. 29 — along with Chapter 7 — and features Blackpink member Lisa as the Festival Season 12 Icon.

We don’t know all the songs that will be included in her Festival Pass yet, though her single “Rockstar” is in the trailer and managed to reach the number four spot on Billboard’s global charts last year. It’s also possible we could get a Blackpink song in the pass, though that remains to be seen.

Of course, as with most Festival Passes, there will likely be more than one Lisa skin available, plus one in the shop. If that’s the case, and we get more than the two seen in the trailer, there’s one version of her Epic could make available that would reach even further beyond Blackpink’s fans.

Lisa starred in the most recent season of The White Lotus as Thidapon “Mook” Sornsin, an employee at the hotel and love interest to security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong). Would it make sense to feature Lisa in a costume reminiscent of her role on that show? Not really, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want it anyway.

Nov. 29 is going to be a big day for Fortnite. Not only will the current Simpsons-themed season end, but it will also close out Chapter 6 with it. When the game comes back online for Chapter 7, it will be with a new season, a new map, and new passes —along with a Quentin Tarantino collaboration that will see Kill Bill cosmetics added to the game, while an unfilmed chapter of the original Kill Bill script is being included in some capacity.
