A Loose Women favourite has confirmed her new relationship after celebrating their one-year anniversary.

Singer Brenda Edwards, who joined the ITV show in 2019, is a proud mum to daughter Tanisha and her late son Jamal, who tragically passed away in 2022 at the age of 31.

And while Brenda usually remains tight-lipped on her romances, the X Factor star recently confirmed there is a new man in her life – and her Loose Women’s co-stars are over the moon.

Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday (November 19) Brenda shared a sweet photo of her holding her new mystery man’s hand. In the caption she wrote: “A year ago, you walked into my life with laughter in your beautiful eyes and so much unconditional love in your heart and every day since has been that much brighter.

“Your humor makes the ordinary magical, your love makes the difficult easy, and your steady spirit makes me feel safe enough to dream bigger than I already do, even silence feels like music, and every moment feels like we have known each other for years! You just get it! X.”

Brenda finished off the emotional post and said: “So here’s to us, one year of laughter, love, and balance, and a lifetime still waiting to be written. I can’t wait to keep turning pages with you, hand in hand, side by side, back to back,heart to heart. Love you Boy.”

Brenda’s fans and fellow showbiz pals rushed to the comments section to congratulate her. Ruth Langsford said: “Happy anniversary,” while Denise Welch also penned: “SOFT LAUNCH!”

Meanwhile one fan gushed: “Isn’t love beautiful keep dreaming big Brenda.” Someone else proclaimed: “How lovely & really happy for you Brenda.”

Earlier this year, Brenda appeared to tease that she was in a new relationship during an appearance on Loose Women. She admitted: “I did have a holiday recently, with somebody…” leading to a chorus of “ooooh’s” from the audience.

She joked: “That’s all you’re getting!” Brenda then continued: “Apart from, I will say you know I think that it is quite nice. Opposites do attract. I do believe that.”

When asked if she set out rules beforehand, Brenda added: “Not rules as such, but we do have common interests and I think that’s important because then you don’t mind if they want to go and do something.

“It’s all about communication with it, and I think that’s key, and I’m enjoying having that sort of communication.”

Kelly then laughed about it being a “new relationship” as Jane added: “It’s early days, it’s early days! The honeymoon period”. Brenda then interjected: “Slow and steady wins the race, young lady.”
