Bron Breakker is getting a world heavyweight title shot … in January

When The Vision defeated the babyface god squad at War Games in the main event of Survivor Series this past weekend in San Diego, it was Bron Breakker who speared and pinned reigning World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to seal it. That meant Paul Heyman was going to advocate for Breakker to be next in line for a title shot, while rumors circulated these two could be one of the main events of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas next year.
Sure enough, they all showed up to Monday Night Raw this week in Arizona looking to chat with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. That chat happened behind closed doors, and later they hit the ring to give us the big news.
Breakker will indeed challenge Punk for the title. It just won’t be happening until Jan. 5, 2026, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Then, Bron went off in a promo:
He kept going from there, making it even more personal by saying Punk once tried to son him backstage by wondering if he could cut a promo with the big dogs of WWE. Challenge accepted, and now answered.
Soon, they’ll square up for the title on Raw on the first anniversary of the move to Netflix.
