EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (WABC) — Futbol fever is hitting the U.S. hard in anticipation of the World Cup next summer.
FIFA announced the start times for the tournament’s 104 matches on Saturday, a day after the draw for the expanded 48-nation tournament to be played in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The kickoff time allows for prime-time viewing in Europe, where it will be 9 p.m., and Britain, where it will be 8 p.m.
MetLife Stadium will play host to eight fixtures during the FIFA World Cup 26, beginning with five Group Stage matches:
Match 7 – Saturday, 13 June 2026 at 18:00 ET, BRA vs MAR (Group C)
Match 17 – Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at 15:00 ET, FRA vs SEN (Group I)
Match 41 – Monday, 22 June 2026 at 20:00 ET, NOR vs SEN (Group I)
Match 56 – Thursday, 25 June 2026 at 16:00 ET, ECU vs GER (Group E)
Match 67 – Saturday, 27 June 2026 at 17:00 ET, PAN vs ENG (Group L)
The region will also serve as the home of a Round of 32 match, a Round of 16 match, and the highly anticipated final:
Match 77 – Tuesday, 30 June 2026 at 17:00 ET, Round of 32
Match 91 – Sunday, 5 July 2026 at 16:00 ET, Round of 16
Match 104 – Sunday, 19 July 2026 at 15:00 ET, Final
Fans will soon have another opportunity to apply for FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets as the next sales period, the Random Selection Draw, will begin on December 11 on FIFA.com/tickets and is open through January 13, 2026
